Bush is the enemy of Freedom ... NOT Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez
VHeadline.com guest commentarist Mary MacElveen writes: In my VHeadline.com editorial on July 14, “Message to US president George W. Bush: Don’t mess with Venezuela", I made my case where I am of the opinion that we will either destabilize or invade that country ... please read it if you have not already.
Why do I want you to read it?
This morning I read a press release from Congressman Connie Mack: “House Approves Mack Amendment to Promote Freedom in Venezuela” my first reaction was a guttural scream where my worst nightmare was confirmed.
We were doing it again as we did with Iraq.
But, with one big difference when millions like me protested our invasion into Iraq, we were not sure how high the death toll would rise and now knowing that any invasion or destabilization of a sovereign country such as Venezuela is inexcusable.
The horrific images that I have been taking to sleep each night where our soldiers died and innocent Iraqis were murdered in Iraq, I am now angry that down the line, I shall see such images coming out of Venezuela.
I feel a kinship with the people of Venezuela especially since I came to write for VHeadline.com ... where I have gotten to know their issues; and they are no different from us ... but in many cases very similar
