36. Notice how this totally true statement is not covered by MSN
organizations and will get no play. But when Dean uses a little hyperbole, they are all over it.

I'll go apeshit. I've remained silent on Chairman Dean's gaffes, but if anyone thinks this is controversial, he or she needs to seek another party.

I'm waiting for Biden or some other Liebermanesque *mofo to cross it.

anyone with more than three functioning, sober brain cells for years. If someone chooses to believe otherwise its self delusion.

However,, I am glad to hear Dean dismiss Cheney's comment as irrelevant. I would like to have heard him say something like "Should I wish to comment on Mr. Cheney's Fox news Broadcast, I would simply say that his credibility is badly bruised after lying to the world about Iraq".

Keep throwing the lies and deception back at the pukes. When will the dems get with the program?

edit for dumbo grammar

20. My objection to Dean's remarks on Fox News is that he was too lenient.
They are subversive, manipulative and mean-spirited. If I acknowledge that those traits often characterize politics in history, it doesn't mean they are ever admirable.

FOX News is a disgrace, and Dean is right to cast them in a negative light.

34. This is why he's a great representative for the Dems
He knows exactly what he's doing. He's energizing the base and getting us ready for next year's election. Dean isn't speaking to the milquetoasts in the party; he's after those of us who will get active, raise money, and work hard for Democrats in '06. And it's freakin' brilliant.

He's like a dose of castor oil. It might be hard to swallow, but it'll get rid of what's been holding you back. The Democratic party has been in a state of political constipation for too long. That's why we had to call in the Doctor.

39. It seems that the empty Republican criticism
of the 'liberal" media declines in direct proportion to the construction of their own "conservative" media. And we all know what they mean by "conservative" media - illusions and propaganda.

Faux News has little credibility beyond wingnut discussion groups, and Dean is right on the mark here. And it isn't simply the Democratic Party who resist that network - an increasing number of people and organizations refuse to appear on their programming because the slant is so obvious.

As critical as the Repubs have been at the "liberal" media, I don't recall the neo-cons ever refusing to appear on other networks - of course, I could be wrong here, but I don't think that list would be very long.

You can't establish a fascist government unless you destroy the credibility of the media as an effective watchdog for the population. The Party has always hated the media - not for any pretense of inherent bias, but because they demand the repression of every point of view other than their own.

44. Media Matters does this all the time
A good site that calls out Republicans and Fox all the time, is http://mediamatters.org.

And unfortunately this is not news, this is old. But it needs to be said, and repeated. Its the only way to get it into Republican's heads, they for some reason seem to need to hear simple things many times to get it.
