When this writer last reported on the First Family, daughter Jenna was gyrating around in a thong at a Lower Manhattan night spot.

Since then, First Lady Laura Bush has informed the White House Correspondents Association dinner that she, Lynne Cheney and Condoleezza Rice recently had girls' night out at Chippendales, a famous strip club featuring male dancers.

Now, World Net Daily has reported that Mary Carey, a porn star, will attend a fundraising dinner with Dubya on June 14.

I am not making this up. Our Grand Exalted Phantasmagorical Christian President Whose Job It Is To Raise The Nation's Moral Bar And Instill Christian Values In Millions Of Homes From Maine To Hawaii will be dining with a porn star.

Aside from that they're usually 10% or more plastic, porn stars are just people like everyone else. They pay their taxes, they take good care of themselves and their families, and they go to work every day. Their work just happens to consist of having sex with people who aren't their significant others on film, tape, or digital videos which are then sold to the public.

What's interesting is that Mary Carey was likely invited because she finished second in the gubernatorial race in California. Some political function or another.

But yes, the lack of uproar is a little disturbing, all things considered. In fact, on Crossfire the other day, they mentioned this...and both Repbulican and Democrat got a little titter (no pun intended) out of it, as if the notion of someone who there's no denying has actually had sex (giggle! titter) meeting the president is funny. Eight years ago... "The president invites a porn star to the White House! Is he planning an orgy, or is she just giving him tips?"
