Many of you notice that I constantly use that term. I'm not sure if I, in fact, coined it; it just came to me, originally I thought of "Consovietives" but just dropped off the final suffix. This came about because it had occurred to me for the longest that this gang of thugs ruining our country shared many similarities to the old Soviet leaders (in fact, moreso than with Nazi Germany).
I believe bestselling author Herb Cohen, renowned expert on the art of negotiating, first tapped into the Soviet mind via their unorthodox but lethal style when it comes to the sit-down; viz. they take ridiculously extreme positions, concede nothing while maintaining moral superiority, and bully their opponents with loud threats, tantrums, and general emotionalism. Sound familiar? It did for me, certainly.
So, I was googling along hoping to find information that seemed to confirm my suspicions and I stumbled across the following URL, by one Frederick R. Reenstjerna, that I strongly encourage you to check out:

Who are Soviet Republicans?
Soviet Republicans are people accustomed to a deferential totalitarianism, in which those who know their place give due respect to those who are naturally in command. This is a major reason for Republican strengths in racially polarized regions of the United States, such as the Southeast and southern California. The Republican Party has become the last bastion of white folks upset that they are not given the respect they are due as white folks per se. Unlike the current crop of broadcast reporters, I am old enough to remember the moment that the South switched from being solidly Democratic to being solidly Republican. It happened when the Democratic Party stripped South Carolina U.S. Representative Albert Watson of his seniority in early 1965 for supporting Barry Goldwater's presidential campaign in 1964. Watson was welcomed into the Republican Party, U.S. Senator Strom Thurmond turned Republican, and the party became the safe place for white folks upset about all those "Northern agitators" and "liberals" trying to register black folks to vote. After that incident, the white establishment in the Southeast took over the Republican Party. Nelson Rockefeller was one of the last vestiges of classical Republicanism. Like that last passenger pigeon in the Cincinnati zoo, when Rockefeller died, his species died with him.
