How do we take back our country from the wolves and jackals and what steps should we be planning to rid her of the cancers and chancres which right wing extremists have infested her with?
Well, the traditional methods of success has always been one or a combination of these methods - during our revolution all of these were used:
- Voting
- Mass Public Protests
- News Media (education)
- Business Boycotts
- Jury Nullifying
- Violent Revolution
I think we would all agree that we are not yet at the point of violent revolution, although we seem to certainly be driving down that road, however, as pointed out, we are not at that point.
Also, as we all know, for all intents and purposes; voting and the news media have been usurped by the corporation, and mass public protest has by-in-large been usurped by police-state laws and unfavorable reporting by the corporate news media.
So that leaves us with jury nullifying and boycotts. And I might add that both are very powerful tools used with success by our founding fathers and other struggles throughout our history.
So it is my opinion that by using the internet blogs and grass-roots educating and spreading the word in our schools and workplaces; we can use the courts against them
(as instructed by our founding fathers to do so), and destroy their machine by starving it of its fuel - money!
So we ALL should make a pledge to do our duties as jurors
(the way our founding fathers taught us to), and uphold the "Constitution" when confronted with a defendant who has practiced his right to assemble and speak-out against the government
(or corporations), but was arrested because he didn't have a permit or because he was in a public area but didn't move when told to do so. Also you might want to review the history of labor-unions using jury nullifying to maybe give you an example on how you will handle a lawsuit case involving an individual Vs. a corporation.
And we ALL should make a pledge to absolutely NOT patronize any business who either: out-sources its jobs to cheap slave wage labor overseas, or who spends more money on political lobbying more than what average individuals do, or who has no respect for the environment.
Now I know that cuts-out a LOT of places of business and limits you. But you have to ask yourself: "Is there a local mom&pop business that can provide me with what I need?", "Do I know for sure that this product was made by American labor?", "Is buying this product from this big-corporate dealer worth destroying my beloved country for?" Because I don't need to remind you folks on this forum
(I can see you all are quite intelligent), that the money you spend at places like Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot, McDonalds, Bayer, etc. Is spent in Washington to, removing the principle of government of the people for the people, to government of corporations for corporations - its that simple.
But of course I understand that there may be circumstances of absolute necessity that, where you have no other choice but to purchase a product from one of these business. But lets pledge to limit our purchases from these people to items of absolute necessity, i.e. needed medication, needed hardware that can't be had anywhere else to make a necessary repair, etc.
Berkeley's free speech movement 1964:
"There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part, you can't even tacitly take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all." --- Mario Savio
P.S. Make the pledge to NEVER cross a picket-line. That act in-of-itself has caused so much set-back of what could have been accomplished..
