"Why triple-talented Dean spells trouble for Republicans"
This article was written by a Republican.

"And that, more than anything else, was the message that Dean took to the party faithful in his campaign for the party chairmanship: He's there for them, not for the insiders, not for the professionals, and certainly not for the consultants. Dean will be there for the hardworking activists who make up the rank and file."

snip...
"Now more than ever, the Republican Party needs to toss its heavy-handed, top-down management style overboard and rejuvenate its grass-roots parties. Howard Dean already has."

Go Howard!

1. Thank you for posting. I'm hopeful and see Dean as the writer
described him. In short, an organizer and a hard worker.

2. We might actually steal a march on them, again!
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 05:45 PM by Heaven and Earth
Democrats were the first to take full advantage of internet fund raising, now we may be a step ahead in terms of turning our party into a swift, lightweight, agile machine that can outmaneuver the ponderous Republican golem. It would be nice if THEY had to adapt to US for once!

This gives me a lot of hope that the party can be rebuilt for the long term as Republicans did in the sixties, seventies, and eighties. While they get fat, lazy, and drunk in defending their power, we operate leaner, meaner, and with less to lose, so we can take greater risks. We can also take the coveted outsider, anti-Washington, reform mantle.
