President Bush: Keep your freedom and democracy to yourself (Prada)
President Bush: Keep your freedom and democracy to yourself

The international community does not want George W. Bush's Freedom and Democracy neither does it want its Hearts and Minds won over by Shock and Awe tactics, thank you very much. If George Bush was elected President of the United States of America, why does he address himself to the rest of the world?

Let's face it, if there was an election in the international community, George W. Bush might get elected as a member of a freak show, or perhaps a kitchen hand, handing out plastic turkeys in tents but for the leadership of a country? ........

Yikes... He is telling it like it is!

3. Surely they have lost half their audiences
We quit watching after the election. I can't bear watching them LIE!
I just sneak a peek now and then to see if someone has come to their sences. I listen to Air America a lot now, and Democracy Now on the internet.

6. Oh, I told them....
If they read their emails? ? ? I told them leading up to and after the elections. It is a good thing I did not have to buy stamps for all the email I sent to lying, horrible Newscasters. I also told the ones who occasionally told the truth. I might have just as well had a "Shame" button on the keyboard. Seemed I got further with newspapers. At least they wrote back real letters and not just form letters.

I guess the trick is to keep telling them. Like:

"Hi, I just popped in on your show the other night to see if you had been shot in the arse by cupid or woke up and realized you were brainwashed for the last for years, but noooooooooooo not you. Hope you have to sell so many ads that you only have to say hello and good by next week. There will be no time for news because half of the country is no longer watching!!!"

How is that?

But it said I couldn't because editing period has expired. Geeze it should beep or something and blink a little light that says editing is about to expire.

Anybody know how long it is one has to edit if one so chooses?

7. The American media seems to have missed the point of Bush's speech!
To the rest of the world it was a threat!...CNN and the other U.S.A. networks have spoken of the speech as if it was some sort of idealistic, benevolent plan to bring "liberty" and "peace" to the world....They talk about his "soaring rhetoric"...Really...that has been said....Most of us in the rest of the world think it was frightening!

12. scary to me,
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 05:04 AM by mahina
but I knew he was lying because his lips were moving. So I chose to believe that the lies included pretty much all of it.
What a nightmare of a president. How did we let this happen? Even with the corrupt media we should have been able to prevent this. It really is on us.
Change starts with us.

I want my country back, what the hell do we stand for? We have become what we used to stand against, empire.

Oh well, maybe this is truth being revealed. It's not like we were being true to the best in America with our Central American support of murder, overthrow of democratically elected govt in Chile, etc etc etc

Maybe the truth will set us free.

Right?

edited because I am done crying and now I am just pissed. Really pissed. As my old Waianae tita friend would say, pissted.

16. Don't Cry
Argh....I want my country back to. Now I am going to cry. It seems to me there is a good wind a blowin'! Each of the protests I have been to since the election has doubled in size. I think the kneading is being done and the Bread is about to go in the oven.

Now think of the smell of Home Made Bread baking, and don't cry!

I wish I had not read those stupid Left Behind books so that I would know what they were thinking. That is what scares me.

21. How about this little song!
Doin' the Perp Walk

World leaders are trying to beseech Bush.

All of my friends are trying to defeat Bush.

I’ve even seen some signs that tell me to impeach Bush.

That ain’t gonna cut it for me.

I won’t be happy ‘til I see him do the perp walk.

Handcuffs and leg irons swingin’ to the perp walk.

Bright orange jumpsuit, stylin’ for the perp walk,

On his merry way to cell block D.

He raided my National Treasury.

Invaded a nation’s sovereignty.

That’s why I won’t be happy ‘til I see him do the perp walk

Exiting the White House, shuffling to the perp walk.

Live on TV, smirkin’ to the perp walk.

That’s democracy for me.

Lest we neglect the Bush Administration,

That gang hell bent for world domination.

Live at The Hague for their humiliation.

That is what I’d truly like to see.

‘Cause I won’t be happy ‘til I see ‘em do the perp walk.

Rove and Rummy marching to the perp walk.

Colin and Johnny dancing to the perp walk,

Getting finger printed on TV.

They acted preeminently,

Searching for those WMDs.

And now I won’t be happy ‘til I see ‘em do the perp walk.

Condoleezza Rice practicing the perp walk.

Bunker bust Cheney and make him do the perp walk.

That’s democracy for me.

But we won’t stop there, with this administration.

Set a precedent for future generations

To not be messin’ with the Peoples reputation.

And that’s the way it oughta be.

If you mess with us you get to do the perp walk.

Don’t matter if you’re rich you get to do the perp walk.

Especially Richard Nixon should have had to do the perp walk.

It’s what we call equality.

That’s the hallmark of grass roots liberty,

And U.S. Constitutionality.

So you Supreme Court Judges ain’t immune to do the perp walk.

Senators and Congressmen take turns to do the perp walk.

This whole damn government may learn to do the perp walk.

That’s democracy for me.

13. If bush's definition of bringing liberty to the world is seen in Iraq
the world has reason to tremble.
But the reality is that you need boots to run a war. We don't have them. My anxiety is that they feel so smugly secure they forget the military is there to defend us.
Don't they think North Korea and Al Quaeda would love us to be fighting three wars at once?

The irony is that he could bring more freedom and liberty to the world if he locked himself in the toilet for the next four years than anything else.

Little shitstain. Grrrrr.
