Leaders condemn 'Hassan murder'

Leaders condemn 'Hassan murder'

Mrs Hassan had lived in Iraq for
30 years and married an Iraqi

Political leaders have condemned the apparent murder of aid worker Margaret Hassan by her kidnappers in Iraq.

Tony Blair said it was "abhorrent", while Irish premier Bertie Ahern said her kidnappers "stand condemned by... the entire international community".

Mrs Hassan's husband Tahseen has begged her captors to return her body, so she can "rest in peace".

1. Why aren't these workers being protected?
More blood that Bush will have to answer for when he stands before
The Panel.

I'm always amazed at all the weird fetishes on the internet.

Hopefully you stocked up on kleenex.

So, what do you do for an encore?

Dear Penthouse,

I never thought I would be writing this, but last week I found myself locked in a broom closet with two U of C coeds and Iyad Allawi in spiked heels...

7. You should have seen his/her post about Ohio
the dogs and the Klan and how he/she was disenfranchised, all told as Amos & Andy would have told it. The post was deleted.

8. Leave it to the party of moral values...
... to spin rape fantasies about dead women.

10. I'll second that, although the idea of Allawi wearing high heels
sounds rather plausible to me.

Really classy, guys. I suppose its ok in your minds to lie about this woman because she married one of "them" and tried to help the Iraqis, huh?

13. BushCo killed her to counter the Fallujah horror when it was exposed.
Edited on Wed Nov-17-04 03:39 AM by JohnOneillsMemory
I HAVE NOT ONE IOTA OF DOUBT that people working for the Neo-con Empire kept her life in their hands to play as a card on the table of American domestic opinion to counter the inevitable horror of the Fallujah massacre of civilians by US troops when it came to light. They saved her death for a rainy day in the PR game, for when they NEEDED IT.

No doubt whatsoever. That's how the fucking bloody game is played. Watch. This has happened several times already. Will again, too.

As soon as that video of the Marine executing an unarmed wounded Iraqi in a mosque went public, they played the Sainted Lady Gets Killed by Hooded Evil card. Slapped it right down and claimed their outrage payoff. Royal straight flush!

From what I've learned about media control by the CIA and what I've seen as news cycle manipulation during this entire corporate coup, any other conclusion would be delusional or uninformed.

I...am...DEAD...certain...of this. So help me God. It will happen again. No question. Just...watch. I bet you everything.

If that is granted, all else follows."

15. Dear God. A resident Iraqi relief worker has been murdered.
I appreciate black humor as much as the rest, but I can't find ANY consolation in this thread.

However, make no mistake about it. This is the true price of oil. Now put a price on that when you're filling up your tank.

May she truly rest in peace and all condolences to her family. “Sorry everybody” doesn’t quite work here, does it?

... count yourself lucky that you didn't read the deleted rape fantasy from a tombstoned sicko that prompted it.

20. Most of that oil doesn't go to the USA, does it?
As I understand it, most of Iraq's oil goes to European countries and not the USA.

One less reason for us to be over there.

21. Well DUH!!! What person wouldn't comdemn this???

This woman worked her entire adult life toward helping the Iraqi people. The "leaders" aren't saying anything inspirational in their 'condemnation'.

There isn't a single person in the Democratic party that doesn't feel outrage for the senseless murder of this kind, caring, impassioned woman and the grief her family is experiencing!

All the while knowing...it didn't have to be like this if Bush et al hadn't foisted this shoot from the hip foreign policy smackdown on Iraq.

22. My Favorite Quote from the BBC Article
... pointed out that even the group led by extreme militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had apparently called for Hassan's release but that some new terrorist operations had "absolutely no standards at all".

23. Margaret Hassan lives on through her work
Margaret Hassan, you will live on through your good will towards the Iraqi people. Those who put you in this situation will have their day, in the end the negative actions of these people (Bush included) will be defeated through the goodness of your soul, along with many other innocent casualties of this unjust war.

I really hope CARE international keeps its mission in Iraq, it's amazing the danger and horror these people live through just to help the people who need it most.

24. Hassan: MI6 spook/WMD storyteller? Between 1997-1999
Hassan was alleged to have been part of a MI6 link between former Tory Party leader Ian Duncan Smith, his many MoD contacts serving as Military Attaches in UK embassies and Mossad-funded Kurds acting as go-betweens with Saddam personnel benefitting from UN oil-for-food moneylaundering scams.

No one Iraqi group has officially claimed to have either kidnapped Hassan or murdered her.

This whole dreadful assasination biz has all the hallmarks of a UK mercenary hit squad silencing their No1 link in the WMD fiction fiasco.

25. Ms. Hassan's murder was pointless
No matter who governs Iraq in the future, capturing an punishing people who do this kind of thing will have to be a priority. Margaret Hassan was not an enemy of the Iraqi people. Indeed, she had become Iraqi.

Of all the senselessless that has taken place in Iraq over the last year and a half, nothing, not even the invasion itself, that saddens me more than this.

Whoever did this will not be quick to take credit.
It did not serve much purpose other than to piss off most Iraqis.

28. Another Bush Death! Yippee! Hooray! God Bless the USA!
Praise the Republican Lord! Red-state Amerikka can claim one more innocent death for Halliburton and Jerry Falwell! She was just a danged ol' lib'ral anyways! She was consortin' with them Irakee enemees!

Thank you, President Bush! This here woman was bein' all lib'ral and Godless. She was even married to a Irakee! She was giving their bombed-out women and children food and comfort! She was a traitor just like John Kerry!

This is the mindset of talk radio knuckleheads. They rule our country's airwaves like Goebbels once did in Germany.

And it's gonna get worse - much worse.
