One Soldier Killed, One Injured in IED Attack

Tikrit, Iraq -- A 1st Infantry Division Soldier was killed and one injured after their combat patrol was struck by an improvised explosive device near Balad at about 4:20 a.m. on Nov 10.

The injured Soldier was taken to a Multi-National Forces medical treatment facility and is in stable condition.

The names of the Soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

on the net had a picture of a wounded US soldier - a guy with just an arm in a sling, shorts on and walking around. This is what they want the general public to think of when they see the term "wounded." Can't show the REAL horrors of war now. Then we may have more anti-war protests and that wouldn't be good now would it?

When will this madness stop? What is the magic number going to be? We thought it would be 1,000 but Americans got used to that real quickly. Nothing moves these people any more.

I guess it is becoming so common, the death of one mother's son passes with little fanfare.

I am very sad and very,very angry tonight.

I feel for my beautiful country taken over by brutish thugs, hoodlums and murderers. With the acquiescence of some very lazy, angry intolerant people who allowed this to happen.
