Report: Terror Figures Were Staff Error (Not Down, Actually @ 21-yr high)
WASHINGTON -- Administrative problems, not politics, led to a report that falsely showed a decline in worldwide terror attacks last year, the State Department inspector general's office said Tuesday.

In its annual terrorism report released in April, the State Department cited declining numbers as proof of success in the U.S. fight against terrorism. Two months later, it issued a revised report showing that major terror acts actually had reached a 21-year high.

Secretary of State Colin Powell called the error very embarrassing, and Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign accused the Bush administration of trying to inflate its success against terror.

A review by the inspector general found errors and omissions but "nothing surreptitious involved," said Patricia Yorkman, a spokeswoman for the office.

I read this shit-- it just makes my lip curl into an almost permanent chenney-esqe sneer. What the fuck can one say to all of it... ever! It's all so far beyond fucking belief, even after 4 years of it!!
And i know im not alone in the visceral reactions to bushit.

3. yeah right.
As Bartcop says, when a Republican makes a mistake which benefits him, expect him to make that same mistake over and over. What is this one, "mistake" # 10,007?

Just what *are* the odds?

He *must* be blessed by Jesus.

6. Terror at 21-year-high -- but how long have they tracked it?
Was terror actually greater 21 years ago, or did they just start tracking it 21 years ago (in 1983, after the Marine barracks bombing in Lebanon)?

7. Well Golly!
Released in April huh? Revised right after the election? What a coincidence.

8. And how many "coincidences" does that make now?
No doubt Ohio voting machines wouldn't have the capacity to record them all

9. Colin,
getting caught with your fly down is "very embarrassing." This is shameful, deceptive, and incompetent beyond belief.

10. If a decrease was proof of success,
are they now admitting that the increase is proof of failure?

11. That'll be the day.
The discussion never quite seems to make it that far. But the poodles who watch faux don't seem to mind.
