Three UN hostages alive, but may be killed: abductors' spokesman
ISLAMABAD (AFP) - Three foreign United Nations (news - web sites) employees kidnapped in Kabul are alive but may be killed if an attempt is made to rescue them, a spokesman for the group that has claimed responsibility told AFP by telephone.

"Our group has captured the three foreign infidels and we are keeping them at a safe place. So far they are safe," said Mullah Mohammad Ishaq, a spokesman for the Jaishul-Muslameen (Army of Muslims) group.

"But if any forces are used against us to free them, those forces will be responsible for whatever harm that will come to the lives of the hostages."
