Libertarians Targeting Swing States - On The Ballot In 48 States
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041029/ap_on_el_pr/libertarian_candidate&cid=694&ncid=1963&sid=96378798

WASHINGTON - He's on more ballots than Ralph Nader (news - web sites), but few people know him. Depending on how the presidential election goes this year, they might not even bother to learn Libertarian Michael Badnarik's name.

Instead some might just call him — "spoiler."

Because he's on nearly all the ballots — with the exceptions of Oklahoma and New Hampshire — Badnarik could siphon enough votes from either President Bush (news - web sites) or Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) to shift the outcome in a swing state.

That's exactly what the Libertarians want. They've focused their efforts and advertisements on two states — New Mexico and Nevada, where competition between the two main candidates is tight.

"We were looking for battleground states. We were looking for states where we could make the margin of difference one way or the other," operations director Geoffrey Neale said Thursday.

1. I have been told by local Libertarians that
many were voting for Kerry. There main issue is dis-agreement with the patriot act.

5. My Uncle's a hardcore Lib
He fucken HATES Bush and the bunch of money-greedy criminals that took the decisions from the people, shredded the Constitution, became interventionist and used the Government for the gains of a few. He thinks the budget is out of control and that Shrub is ruining the country.

He's voting Kerry.

2. Ordinarily they would take votes from Republicans
But this year with their strong anti-war stance they may attract some Democrats who are turned off by Kerry's chestbeating.

3. Amen...
I applaud their stand and support their fight to break the two-party system; however, please help oust bushco, and discuss this civilly with President Kerry... Nader, too... I'm not yet jaded enough to feel we're all being duped by the two-party machine...
