Bush administration says Russia, France took Iraq explosives
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big News Network.com Friday 29th October, 2004

The Bush administration's latest explanation for 380 tons of explosives missing from Iraq is that Russian troops took them, the Financial Post said Thursday.

Deputy Undersecretary for Defense John Shaw told the newspaper there was intelligence the French were also involved in the removal of the explosives from the al-Qaqaa depot before the war began last year.

What the Hell!!!

1. Highly dubious

Big News Network is one of these internet sites that copy stories from elsewhere.

What country do the 'Financial Post' publish in? Perhaps they mean the Financial Times, which did have an interview with Shaw. Notice that the headline is misleading - Shaw never said the French took anything away - he just accused them of selling things to the Iraqis.

So it's a misleading headline, from a website that can't tell us the name of the newspaper it's reading properly. There's also another DU story that Rumsfeld has now said this is the first he's heard of the Russians being involved.

3. Freedom explosives!
I can't believe they are blaming the French. This administration is so predictable that they are like a cartoon.

5. Bush has demonstated so well that he has all the answers
We can trust what the administration says because they are very trustworthy and we know without a doubt that they have "leadership". It's so obvious.....so let's not make a big deal out of this too!

6. France?
I almost hope that this makes it to the media... maybe then in comparison to France, people will realize how ridiculous the Russia story is.

17. LOL, Bush got punked by France but he can keep us safer than Kerry?
Remeber how the Freepers howled about what wusses the French were when they didn't send their troops to serve as cannon fodder for Bush's crusade? Remember how they said the cheese-eating surrender monkeys would be speaking German if it wasn't for the good ole macho US of A?

Now we're supposed to believe they have ninja-like capability to sneak under GPS tracking into a country that posed an imminent threat and was being scrupulously monitored by the most powerful military in the world and stole hundreds of tons of explosives without our knowledge?

I guess they beamed themselves with a Clingon cloaking device into that area around Tikrit and Baghdad and the east, west, south and north somewhat...

OMG, this is side-splitting idiocy.

8. If they don't have them ...
then I would say that the President has "Jumped to Conclusions". You can't have a President who jumps to conclusions.

That's it, I'm voting for Kerry.

Cheers

13. BREAKING NEWS!!! I KNOW WHO STOLE THE EXPLOSIVES!
It was my mom. I am sorry, she is very sorry and regrets stealing the 380 tons of explosives in the a war zone. She is neither French or Russian, so I don't know where they got that crap from. She feels much better since she came forward. Hope this helps.

16. These people are so irresponsible ,
that they are willing to lie about other countries in order to ride out a bad story . The cynicism would be astounding , were it not for the fact that it has been the order of the day since these thugs were imposed on our country and the world .
