Kerry Says Bush Must Answer for Iraq Explosives

"You didn't guard the ammunitions dump and now our troops are at greater risk. That's the bottom line," Kerry said, again hammering away at the issue with just six more days until voters go to the polls.

"Our troops are doing a heroic job. The president, the commander in chief, is not doing his job," the Massachusetts senator told supporters in the battleground state of Minnesota.

Kerry said the missing explosives provided "the greatest case in point" on how Bush had failed as a commander in chief.

"Mr. President, for the sake of our brave men and women in uniform, for the sake of those troops who are in danger, because of your wrong decisions you owe Americans real answers about what happened, not just political attacks," Kerry said.
