Records indicate Kerry did his duty--The Washington Times...
Well, well, well.....

Even the Washington Times finally posts it:

Records indicate Kerry did his duty

http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20041018-124856-1545r.htm

SNIP

The Navy records posted on Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign Web site have stirred suspicion of wrongdoing among Internet bloggers, but authoritative sources say the documents show that the ex-Navy officer fulfilled his duty.

One gap that remains is the Democratic presidential nominee's failure to sign a government Standard Form 180. It would authorize the Navy to release any personnel or medical record. At this point, it is thought that the remaining unpublished documents are limited to medical and college records.

SNIP

Navy officials say any documents that might pertain to Mr. Kerry's four months in Vietnam, such as after-action reports, are not personnel records and thus not subject to SF-180.

Those papers can be found in archives or sought by reporters via Freedom of Information Act requests. Some have been located by reporters and authors."

Interesting. Perhaps the Washington Times editors are beginning to fret about their prospective lack of access in a post-republican administration?

4. Anything that upsets freepers
is a beautiful thing, and this is bugging the little pukes. They're whining about the liberal media. Someone should tell them that the washington times is a moonie organ of their side- the wacky right.

6. We already knew this and it shouldn't
even be a topic for discussion - there's an FBI file a mile high on Kerry but not one soul can figure out where bush was. This was not even a question about Kerry - just the Times acting like there was a questionl

7. Hate to be this way guys
But it doesn't matter who backs up Kerry's record...the smear job the Swift Boat Vets did on him has entered the echo chamber and can't be completely silenced. That's how Karl Rove works, throw out any kind of outlandish smear even if you know it will be refuted. But it doesn't matter if it is proven false...enough folks will believe it to make it worthwhile.

9. Good point
but the only people who would believe Rove's garbage are repugs, so it really only appeals the wing nut base. The real reason for Rove's methods (which you so succinctly described)is the same as the corporate media "Polls":Distract/discourage.

13. The Undecided Voters Believe it Too
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 11:41 AM by AndyTiedye
Undecided voters give repub lies equal weight to the truth they can
see with their own eyes, due to the amount of media play they have
gotten. They believe the Swift liars.

That's why they're still undecided. The Sinclair special is designed
to push them back into the Boosh camp from whence they came, and it
is certain to have that effect on some of them.

Rove would not spend so much money spreading these lies
if only their base would believe them. They are doing it
to woo, or at least neutralize the undecided vote that
historically would break for the challenger, but shows no
signs of doing so this year.

11. When BUSH signs a SF-180, THEN Kerry should, too.

14. In Freeperland they say Bush did sign a SF-180.
That is their argument why Kerry should sign one. I suppose Chimp is free to sign as he knows he destroyed his records and there is nothing to release!

15. Don't care what freepers say; the FACT is, NO bush has NOT signed a SF-180
And that's a FACT. And if the freepers bothered to ever fact-check, they'd know this themselves.
