Germany arrests 'al-Qaeda backer'

A Syrian-born German has been arrested in Hamburg on suspicion of helping to finance Osama Bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, German authorities have said.
Mamoun Darkazanli was detained on an extradition request from Spain.

He is accused of being a key al-Qaeda figure and providing logistical and financial support for the group since 1997 in Spain, Germany and the UK.

2. How Ironic

My Greatgrather or Grosspapa(Sorry Deutchland DUers but my American PC doesn't make that oversized B that equates two ss's)immigrated to the states to get away from fascism(pre WWII)in Germany. Then after he dies the Bush Crime Family takes over the country and reintroduces fascism. Ironicly Germany leads the way to do the right things and fight fascism:shrug:
