Bush Ad: Kerry Has Put U.S. 'At Risk'
Bush Ad: Kerry Has Put U.S. 'At Risk'

SCOTT LINDLAW

Associated Press

WACO, Texas - President Bush, preparing for a debate on foreign policy with his Democratic rival, accuses "John Kerry and Congressional liberals" of "putting our protection at risk" in a campaign ad released Tuesday, his second commercial on the issue in two days.

"Strength builds peace. Weakness invites those who do us harm," the ad says, a suggestion that Kerry would be a weak leader in wartime and a country headed by him would be vulnerable to terrorist attacks.

The ad accuses Kerry of "refusing to support our troops in combat" and trying to severely slash intelligence budgets and eliminate military weapons after the first attack on the World Trade Center.

2. I think that this is a sign of desperation....I also think that Kerry is
doing much better than the skewed polls shows. Many, many new voters, overseas vote, military vote, etc, etc.

5. Exactly, Kerry needs to show how weak Bu$h was by going on vacation
Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 11:37 PM by fearnobush
during the summer of warnings 2001. Kerry needs to highlight "Osama Bin Laden Determined to Attack with in the United States." I know Bush is really weak on this and all of his 911 failures, why Kerry never went after them is mind boggling.

4. Bush has put U.S. at risk
Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 11:32 PM by daleo
By creating enemies and losing allies through his (and PNAC's) foolish pursuit of unilateral invasion and war.

Read your history - when countries ignore fundamental realities like balance of power, and respect for others a backlash always develops.

7. it is a frontal assault on dissent that undermines democracy
the rhetoric of "John Kerry and Congressional liberals" of "putting our protection at risk" is equal to an accusation of treasonous behavior.

they are calling liberals traitors. make no mistake about it.

10. That's interesting that they bring up "strength builds peace"
because I think this situation in Iraq has made us look awfully weak.

9. Clearly bush the so called president....
is the one that has put our country at risk. Clearly, Kerry is not the president yet. Little georgie, always blaming someone else. He got over blaming Prez Clinton, now he blames Kerry for his big Whoppers.

This is so childish, it's beyond description. There are those who are so fixed to their television sets, in complete acceptance, that they will believe anything that comes through the screen. I'm deeply sorry that this man ever played a role in America's history.

I know without any doubt that John Kerry would not have sat like a dunce, in a classroom of kids, when those towers were being attacked. Who's the leader, Mr. Bush? You certainly are not.

Like a Cspan caller said last night- George Bush is the original flim flam man.
