THREE MARINES DIE #1029 US, #1164 total

THREE MARINES DIE IN AL ANBAR PROVINCE

CAMP FALLUJAH –– In three separate incidents, one Marine assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force was killed in action and two died of wounds sustained in action Sept. 16, while conducting security and stability operations in the Al Anbar Province.

51 dead US troops so far this month. 1029 total US to date. 69 "coalition" troops dead, total of 1164 dead troops to date.

That is a lot of deaths, considering that there are not really any "major engagements" that the news media has reported, as far as I am aware. You wonder what is actually going on.

10. After the elections, there is going to be an even worse bloodbath
Man, I'm am really really concerned. We all knew it was going to hell over there, but the pace is really quickening and, as you say, with Rove holding the troops back to try to keep casualties down in the election cycle.
