Iraqi Shi'ites Vow Revenge For Bomb Attack

Thousands of Iraqi Shi'ite Muslims gathered Monday in the holy city of Najaf for the funerals of three people killed in a bombing attack.

Some of the mourners vowed revenge for the attack that killed aides to prominent Shi'ite cleric Ayatollah Mohammed Sa'id al-Hakim, who was slightly wounded in Sunday's bombing of his office.

Some Iraqis blame loyalists of Saddam Hussein's ousted regime for the attack, while others say a rival Shi'ite group is responsible. Ayatollah al-Hakim is the uncle of a member of the U.S.-appointed Iraqi governing council, which has drawn criticism from Shi'ites opposed to cooperation with the United States.

In Iran, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei condemned the attack and blamed the U.S.-led coalition for the incident.

Not only do the Iraqis attack the foreign occupiers but they're also into attacking their fellow Muslims now!
Looks like it takes a dictator to keep the different religious groups together!
