'Blast hits' U.S. vehicle in Iraq
http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/08/24/sprj.irq.intl.main/index.html

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A U.S. military vehicle has reportedly been hit by an explosion on the Amriyah Bridge, west of Baghdad, eyewitnesses told CNN.

The military has cordoned off the area, and the eyewitnesses reported injuries, however the U.S. military has not confirmed any information regarding the incident.

CNN's Rym Brahimi says from eyewitness accounts it appears that some kind of roadside device was triggered, hitting the last vehicle in a convoy of Humvees. That vehicle was on fire and wounded were taken from the scene, she said.

The news came amid reports of further violence in Iraq Sunday and while coalition forces searched for the killers of three British servicemen who died in an ambush in the second city of Basra.

Gunshots were fired at the Royal Military Police soldiers Saturday as they made their way through a main street in an armed convoy of two vehicles.

1. I'm sure W is sleeping in this morning
And could care less that there is now fighting in Basra, Baghdad and Kirkuk.

He's won the trifecta and doesn't even know it yet.

4. There are some, but as of right now, not many.
If a soldier later dies of his injuries, he will be listed here.
