| Fresh fighting breaks out in Liberia |
|
Fresh fighting has broken out near Liberia's second city of Buchanan, as caretaker President Moses Blah tries to cement a peace deal to end 14 years of bloodshed. Thousands of civilians have left their homes and are travelling along the main road leading from the rebel-held port city to the capital, Monrovia. Fighting inside the capital has died down since West African peacekeepers, backed by US Marines, were deployed earlier this month. 000  |
