Here are the top contributors to the major candidates for governor in the Oct. 7 recall election, including the two anti-recall campaigns affiliated with Gov. Gray Davis.

Northern California Carpenters Regional Council, labor union, $21,200

Operating Engineers Local No. 3, labor union, $21,200

Gov. Gray Davis Committee, Davis campaign fund, $527,160

American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, labor union, $250,000

Democratic Governors Association, political group, $250,000

Casden Properties, real estate, $100,000

E&J Gallo Winery, winemaker, $100,000

Norman Pattiz, Westwood One, $100,000

I am glad to know that they continue to back Gray Davis and that they have not changed over the years. They supported him while he was the Comptroller as well, long before the Governor days. They also endorsed him during both campaigns.

I will say this much, given the hard times in California, Gray Davis has proven himself to be a strong supporter of this very powerfull and well-organized labor union (State employees).

VOTE NO ON THE RECALL! (period!)

GRAY DAVIS WON 'FAIR AND SQUARE'!!!

The top "special interest group" supporting him is organized labor. That's working people.
