Bush Acknowledges 'Time of Change' for Workers
TROY, Ohio (Reuters)

President Bush on Saturday acknowledged U.S. manufacturing workers have seen a "time of change" in the economy but said his private sector-based policies were the way to boost growth. ..

Ohio, considered by Republicans to be one of the states the president needs to carry on Nov. 2, has been hit by a deep manufacturing slump in recent years and its job market has seen the loss of 230,000 positions since Bush took office in early 2001.

"When it comes to expanding our economy, defeating the recession, we're getting the job done," Bush told a rally of around 20,000 people. ..

7. The SOB has a plan?
Time off instead of overtime pay. Tax free savings accts.for health care, health care accts. Rely on private sector-based policies.
Bush doesn't have a clue regarding the needs of 'common people'.

The SOB doesn't even consider you a real person unless you make at least over 100,000 a year. He would love to have a few slaves or indentured people.

15. That's right, America! It's time to trade in your tools for the Blue
Smock of Walmart!

It's the perfect plan! You can now shop where you work because you won't be able to afford to shop anywhere else!

And we want you to remember when you bitch about no Health Care...
You are only poor because you want to be.

16. The "change" (a euphemism for rape) was in January 2001
Edited on Sat Aug-28-04 03:02 PM by TahitiNut
In December 2000 we had 11,508,000 workers employed in Production occupations.
In July 2004 we had 9,647,000 workers employed in Production Occupations.
That's a loss of 1,861,000 production jobs - fewer workers in the local cotton fields.

But it's not all bad news.

In December 2000 we had 20,727,000 workers employed in Service occupations.
In July 2004 we had 23,730,000 workers employed in Service occupations.
That's a gain of 3,003,000 service jobs - bootlicking, ass-wiping, guarding massah's house, driving massah's carriages, and cooking massah's food.

But the ownership class sure does't want to worry it's "beautiful mind" by actually dealing personally with them smelly ol' workers and that dirty ol' money.

In December 2000 we had 19,609,000 workers(?) employed in Management, business, and financial operations occupations.
In July 2004 we had 20,081,000 workers(?) employed in Management, business, and financial operations occupations.
That's a gain of 472,000 managers (and other ownership agents) - more people overseeing and keeping massah's books.

22. Bush is delusional
... "defeating the recession"? With Bush, everything is put in terms of a war that he, and only he, can win for us. Of course, that's after he pushes us headlong into this mess. What an asshat totalitarian liar he is.
