UN's Butler puzzled at US silence on Iraq (WMD) interviews
Agence France-Presse (AFP), AAP(International), APTN, Reuters, CNN and the BBC World Service

Former United Nations chief weapons inspector Richard Butler has questioned why the United States has not revealed what it has learnt from interrogating senior Iraqi officials about the country's banned weapons program.

Mr Butler was one of the first witnesses to appear before a federal parliamentary inquiry examining the accuracy of intelligence about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. ---

But Mr Butler says officials who surrendered to US authorities, including Iraq's former deputy prime minister, know the answers. ---

"Have they already told the United States but the United States for some reaon isn't telling ... others. I'm making no accusation, I'm puzzled." ---

3. Workable?
Who needs workable? The US would be over the moon to discover anything at all, no matter what condition, or which rosebush it had been buried under.

2. Takes Time
to assemble all the scraps of information for the "dossier" on WMD PROGRAMS, as opposed to actual factual real live WMDs, don'tcha know?

6. Well they have been saying they will let the public know in the fall
Edited on Thu Aug-21-03 10:55 PM by jamesinca
They have been saying they have the evidence, they were just assembling it and getting it ready for presentation. This will be in the fall. I will bet on it that they say the WMD's went to Syria, maybe Iran. They have been doing the Syria prep work for a few months now. They will also say they have all of the proof of weapons PROGRAMS to justify the war. There will be the usual bluster of al-Queda links and how they're bringing the terroist to their knees. There will be no mention of Saudi Arabias conection to the terroist or the fact that GHW Bush is working for the Carley group and therefore has business ties to the bin-Laden family.

4. And I'm puzzled why...
none of this is being covered in the US. Although, I take note that this appeared on CNN & Reuters. Still, I'll bet about 10% of Americans know about this inquiry.

5. Dear Mr. Butler....
so you are confused, we are totally confused right
along with you. bush & co. have captured Iraqi
scientists, Iraqi military, Iraqi politicians...
and still they can't find any WPM's.
Could it be there aren't any, never were any,
never will be any?
