Muslims urged to get US ‘filth’ out of Iraq
CAMERON SIMPSON August 23 2004

NEARLY 100 prominent Muslims yesterday called on followers around the world to support resistance to American forces in Iraq and the government installed in June.
In an appeal released by the offices of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, the 93 figures from nearly 30 nations, from Germany to Indonesia, said the aim should be to "purify the land of Islam from the filth of occupation".
The signatories included senior members of the brotherhood, Youssef al Qaradawi, a leading Qatari-based moderate; Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah of Lebanon, Hizbollah leader; Khaled Mashal, of the Palestinian group Hamas; two Egyptian opposition party leaders; Sheikh Abdeslam Yassine of Morocco's Justice and Charity Group; and Sheikh Abdullah al Ahmar, Yemeni speaker of parliament.
Others came from Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Bosnia, the Comoros, Germany, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Mauritania, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan and Tunisia.
The appeal said Muslim rulers had been silent to the point of complicity in the face of what it called British-American and Zionist aggression in Iraq and the Palestinian territories.
"(The signatories) call on our Arab and Muslim peoples and all religious authorities and liberation forces everywhere to oppose the occupation and savage crimes in Iraq and Palestine, by providing all kinds of material and moral support to the honourable resistance ... until God's victory comes," it said.
The statement called the Iraqi government "subordinate and installed, a mere shadow of the occupation, designed to impose hegemony on Iraq and its resources". The signatories called for democracy throughout the Muslim world through free and fair elections, with respect the dignity of citizens.

26. look at who they want to mobilize...
it is an emotional appeal—a rallying cry, if you will—to Muslims, after all; it's not a plea to US troops to clean up their act, or to the American electorate to vote against the current megalomaniacal ruling party.

BTW: Iraq did NOT attack the US. Iraq did not and could not threaten the US. We invaded THEIR country without provocation.

17. I am too scared to close my eyes
http://www.bushflash.com/year.html WATCH THIS VIDEO only takes 3 minutes

Enveloped in a sentiment,
A sound that rushes over me.
Engage an impulse to pretend
I have a faith as pure.
Not forgetting what it means to dream.
Indulging everything.
Entertaining thoughts that I've the strength
Of those I yearn to be.
Cheers and tribute greet the saviours.
Reckless thoughts survive.
Anachronistic and impulsive.

And what will happen?
Will I dream?
I am too scared to close my eyes.
For a second please hold me.
None can change in me these things that I believe.
But I don't know what happens now.
I am too scared to close my eyes.

22. Yeah, that's the only standard for barbarism, cutting off a head
Never mind blowing civilians to bits or shooting them to pieces. Dozens of prisoners are known to have died in custody, and the true number will never be known.

And it isn't Iraqis who are cutting anyone's head off, remember--it's the ever-elusive Al-Qaida mastermind, Zarqawi.

27. This is getting worse by the moment...
It is no wonder they dispise us. Our media refuses to acknowledge that Iraq's being killed is even worth mentioning. Or that they are barely finding enough food to eat, half of the population has no running water nor electricity since many of the plants have been destroyed...Though it is not reported, we hide inside what is called the green zone, and any American that leaves this compound does so with full armor and ready for battle...

We call them insurgents on the nightly news, they see themselves as defending thier country against an agressor...

Are most Americans so full of themselves that they honestly could care less about the death toll of other countries even when children are being killed by our soldiers no less especially from a questionable war...

We were supposingly saving them from some mass murder plot from Saddam, we have become worse, we pretend we have come to free them and yet, they find themselves even more imprisioned then they were before, and they have found themselves the targets of not Saddams sword this time, but from ours....

We now make the laws, enforce the laws and attempt to tell the world that Iraq is so much better off...

I swear sometimes I believe our country is bound to be cursed for this unjust invasion where so many have died...

Bush has put us in the worst position we have ever been in. We have never been so hated, we are deeply in debt, our economy is shakey to say the least, and thousands of Americans have lost jobs and continue to, there is just so much damage this administration has done to our country, I am not sure we can recover anytime soon...How can that man and his administration sleep at night with clear a conscience?

Do they have no hearts at all?

That's pretty much exactly what I think about all of this, too. I just can't see how it is all going to end, but we can be certain it will only get worse if the Chimperor steals another election.

Wish I knew how to put up a picture. I had a 'special request' T-shirt made - if you scroll down the page you will see a larger pic of the back of the shirt and what it says on it. Maybe if ALL the Dems in the US wore these shirts every single day till the election -- or if the protesters wore them in NYC during the convention -- wouldn't * just love that?

31. Things are going as planned...
Incite religious and racial hatred to the boiling point. The oil companies will not give up their free lunch without a fight. They think the time is right to attack and they will use nukes to do it. In the aftermath they are sure they will be in complete control.
Of course they are all crazier than shit house rats and their greed may bring us all down. Resistance however, will never cease and in the end they will lose. Our children will inherit a broken world.
It will begin with Israel nuking Iran.
I hope and pray I am wrong.
Am I being too paranoid???
