An account of mistreatment of girls and boys in Iraqi prisons(French news)
so glad to see this story being picked up by one more country and that the German report is not the only one. Most of the article repeats the German reports, below are paragraphs with new info

. . .

According to Provance, a 16 year old boy was showered with water and then driven through the cold (night). Afterwards they “smeared” the boy “with mud” and presented him to his father who was prisoned as well. “After he saw his son in such condition his heart broke”, says Provance. “He cried and promised to tell everything he knew”.

A reporter with the Arab TV station Al-Jazeera, Suhaib Badr-Addin Al-Baz, himself prisoned for 74 days at Abu Ghreib, told REPORT MAINZ, how a 12 year old girl was knocked around by US soldiers. The Journalist was the first to inform about a prison camp for children. “When they brought me from the cell into the camp, there was an independent camp for children, young, below puberty. For sure there were hundreds of children in that camp.”
. . .

The Human Rights Organisation Amnesty International in REPORT MAINZ demands clarification about internments of children. Barbara Lochbihler, general secretary of the German section, declared: “The US government has to reply to this report. It has to provide precise information: How old are the children, what are the reasons for internment, what were the circumstances of them being taken prisoners, and whether children were subjected to torture and mistreatment.”

Barbara Lochbihler further: “The report is dated June 2004 and what is infuriating is that those US persons in charge and the governments seem not to have taken it up in earnest to throw light on such incidents. (...) And here we even do not know the names of the children, how many children we talk about. Independent inspections are unwanted. This is scandalous.”

4. It's exactly as if the Bush administration has been cheating on us
We are definitely the last to know, aren't we?

Makes you wonder why they did this, doesn't it? Remember how much hot air we've heard from Bush, Cheney, god knows who else, yammering on and on about how Saddam Hussein "even put young children in prison?" Their W.A.S.P sensibilities were simply scandalized. They simply could NOT imagine such savagery.

What a bunch of low, filthy people they really are.

Thanks to Robbien for this news from another source. Looks as if the news is definitely getting aired, at least everywhere else. The truth needs to come out everywhere and every time possible.

5. Need motivation to get behind the Dem ticket?
This is it!

I keep reading posts on here about people hesitant to get totally on board with the ticket for some reason or another... well folks here is your motivation!

Suck it up! Get on board or that Evil Fuck gets four more years to do this to more children around the world!

NOTHING is more important than taking back the White House! If we fail and all of us didn't work our asses off then we are partially to blame!

6. Is it not bad enough that we kill innocent civilians?
How awful do our atrocities have to be before we realize that Bush IS Hitler reincarnate and that WE are the "good" Germans just following orders and gleefully waving out flags.

7. I will no longer be able to tolerate the presence
of a Bush supporter. Anyone who can support George "Caligula" Bush, is him/herself a monster. It is time to call a spade a spade and recognize the brutal inhumanity that is evident in any Bush supporter. They don't know about these things? Tough shit - they should open their eyes and take a look at what they are actually espousing. Willful ignorance is, itself, monsterous.

9. um, didn't that already happen?
the helicopter footage? farmers running for their lives, getting mowed down while the pilot is all gung-ho?

and who else here is sure that 'knocking around' little girls was just foreplay leading to rape for some of these bastards? abusive personalities are like that, just ask any survivor (i am one).

thanks bush, for bringing out the worst in our military.

11. I recall how wingnuts spun the My Lai massacre
They actually said, "Those children would just have grown up to be Communists anyway."

I'm not making this up. They are shameless, and their followers are so desperate to believe that Americans can do no wrong that they just nod in agreement.

10. this and "Kenny-boy" doing the perp walk today are why...
...they are elevating the threat level. The media will feed on itself with innuendo, hearsay, and fabrication, so they won't report the news as it is.
