US tried to plant WMDs, failed: whistleblower
"According to a stunning report posted by a retired Navy Lt Commander and 28-year veteran of the Defense Department (DoD), the Bush administration’s assurance about finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was based on a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) plan to “plant” WMDs inside the country. Nelda Rogers, the Pentagon whistleblower, claims the plan failed when the secret mission was mistakenly taken out by “friendly fire”, the Environmentalists Against War report"

I don't know a single thing about this paper so take the report with a grain of salt.

2. Disinformation
The source for the story yesterday was a Pakistani newspaper.
What I am sure of is that this story will be believed by everyone there that reads it

7. This should be locked
There was a big thread on this article here yesterday. In that thread btw, I pointed out that Al Martin is completely unreliable. It may very well be that WMDs have been planted or will be planted (frankly I'm surprised it hasn't happened already) but this story is no smoking gun unless/until it can be verified by someone more reputable.
