Bush Ratings Sink to a Post-9-11 Low;
War Rally Evaporates in Broad Decline

President Bush (news - web sites)'s approval ratings fell in August to their lowest levels since 9-11, erasing an Iraq (news - web sites) war boost and bringing Bush closer to historic norms for first-term presidents.

2. Yeeeee-haw!!! I'll bet the Rovian Machine is accumulating...
... some overtime pay. If allowed, of course, under new Rovian Law.

Check out this link for a funny cartoon about Bush approval ratings:

Air Force one with a surface to air missile, that had a dirty bomb inside of it. We need to love our Bush*, only he can keep us safe.

edit: He runs when it is 100 outside, and his penis can fly jet fighters.

10. I'm happy to take all the good news I can get
but these numbers are not nearly low enough for me to really celebrate. Anything over 50% for bush is bad news.

13. I know what you mean
but I don't think he's leveled off - at least I hope not. This is the comment in the article that got me:

That concern has taken on extra weight after recent Supreme Court decisions on gay rights and affirmative action. "At least he is attempting to appoint judges that respect the U.S. Constitution," said Tom Smith of Farmington, N.J. "Overall, I'm satisfied. I don't agree with everything, but overall it's been good."

Respect the Constitution?? Bush? Hahahahahaha

14. What I found interesting was that Nixon, Reagan and Clinton
were under 50 percent at this point in their presidencies but easily won reelection. OTOH, Poppy Bush was flying high at this point and lost. The one advantage Chimpy has over his dad, though, is that conservatives love him whereas they were disillusioned with Poppy. That's why I think if we win it won't be by a lot because the GOP will be out in force. We have to reply in kind and hopefully win over enough swing voters.

12. "The Leadership Index remained strong on European sale figures . . . "
What a steaming mound of poll-flogging BULLSHIT.

This simian Texas fuckwit is running this country and this planet straight into the ground just as fast as his sweaty monkey-paws can write checks and sign executive orders, and we get pollsters wetting their pants over how many points he's still up from his pre 9/11 ratings?

Give me a FUCKING BREAK!!!!!!!
