Ariz. Dems to challenge Nader's ballot signatures
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Arizona Democrats, with the blessing of national party leaders, plan to challenge Ralph Nader's qualifications to appear on the state's ballot as an independent candidate for president.

Democratic National Committee spokesman Jano Cabrera said Tuesday that the state party's challenge would focus on the validity of thousands of signatures Nader's supporters submitted to Arizona officials to get him on the ballot.

"We support our state party's aim to validate the petition signatures in accordance with the state election law," Cabrera said.

Cabrera stressed that the state party had not requested DNC resources and that any decision to challenge Nader's ballot access rests with state officials. But he said the national party stands behind the effort in principle.

1. I'm glad they're fighting, but...
don't they have far more sigs than are needed, making checking a likely waste of our funds?

And they really aren't using much funds. I was one of the volunteers checking signatures and Approx, three quarter of them were bad. It was amazing .He used paid circulators and some of them didn't even bother to hide their fraud. You would have the same signature dowm an enitre page, but it didn't matter. Most of the voters weren't registered. He is the one that wasted money. And BTW, the ones that were good, were Reug.

3. wow that's very interesting info.
I'm glad they are keeping a close eye of things and checking. This could be the difference! I must admit I am somewhat surprised, in fact, very surprised.

I hope they keep up this apparent good work!

4. Numbers Can Be Deceiving
I work part-time as a petition circulator. Last week, only 29% of the signatures I gathered turned out to be valid.
