Englewood councilman to resign seat
(more Republican family values).

http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36~53~2227147,00.html

An Englewood city councilman who was convicted of buying stolen cars will resign next month from his at-large seat.
<snip>
Yurchick was arrested in August 2000 by Arvada police after buying cars that he knew were stolen, police said.
<snip>
Tom Burns, a former councilman and mayor of Englewood who served with Yurchick in 2000 and 2001, said he is saddened by outcome.

"He has a good humor and is a very conservative kind of guy," Burns said of Yurchick. "We all liked him a lot. I'm very sad to see this kind of thing happen to him. It is unfortunate."

-------------------------------------
Sure Tom. This 'happened' to him. I guess that's why conservatives always favor limited govt and less regulation, so crooks like your buddy there can buy stolen cars cheap and part them out. Why don't you cry me a river about how he was just a hard-working small businessman done in by govt red-tape and bureaucracy.

1. Typical publican situational ethics.
If a publican does it, it just happened to him. If a progressive does it, it shows that all progressives are immoral.

Hypocricy is the main publican party plank.

3. What amazed me in this story.
The guy was caught doing this in August of 2000. He wasn't charged for nearly 2 years, and is only now finishing up his trial, nearly four years later. And he is only NOW resigning his council seat.

You can bet your ass the guy who actually stole the car(s) has been sitting in jail since 2000.

2. Why the f**k would you describe a guy having a good sense of humor AND
as a conservative in the same breath? I mean, it doesn't seem logical that one would equate the two, but then again, we're probably dealing with repukes anyway.

5. Well, a sense of humor is a rare commodity in a conservative.
Then again, it probably just meant the guy told a lot of racist jokes which tickled Tom's fancy.

Isn't it just a shame when awful stuff like this 'happens to' personal responsibility types like this conservative councilman? I mean, here he was, just sitting there minding his own business, trying to make a living, when this receiving stolen property thing 'happened to him'. Just another one of those 'when bad things happen to good people' stories we so often read about.

7. lots of unsavory misdeeds "happened to" Repukes
the last couple of days.

I'm beginning to think the RNC is an organized crime front. They commit more crimes than the Mafia.
