[Supreme]Court rules Intel may have to give papers to EU
In an action that could force Intel to turn over documents to a European Union investigation of the processor giant, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that U.S. federal courts have the authority to compel such discovery.

In a decision announced Monday, the high court said federal courts can grant discovery of documents "in a proceeding in a foreign or international tribunal, including criminal investigations conducted before formal accusation." The European Union's Competition Directorate has re-instituted an earlier investigation into Intel at the prompting of Advanced Micro Devices, an Intel competitor.

1. I'm not thrilled with our legal system becoming entangled with
foreign proceedings. I think the EU should order Intel to turn over the documents, and if they refuse, they should be sanctioned by the EU.

I don't see any reason for US courts to be involved.

Intel is an American company; thus America has to enforce that Intel plays by WTO rules.
