They were arrested on April 23 in England for allegedly cheating their employer out of $7.3 million in a deal with Enron, and the extradition hearings are scheduled for June 21 and June 23, according to Bryan Sierra of the Justice Department in Washington, D.C.
The three are Gary Mulgrew, Giles Darby and David Bermingham. The arrest warrants were first issued in June 2002, when the men were charged by the Enron Task Force before they were even indicted.
It could be months before they come to the United States for trial, even if the extradition process is successful. The Crown Prosecution Service in London will argue on behalf of the U.S. interests in the case, and the three accused men will have opportunities to appeal any lower court decision not in their favor.
