9. markses do you think they're holding any more back ?
There seems like there should have been more in the fighting in Najaf?

Although they claimed they killed hundreds of Sadr's men last week and now itas down to dozens.

Its probably a lot of bogus KIA's on our side too. You know like counting a blood trail as a KIA

15. when that missile HIT our air force munitions stash in Kirkut last week

there were many reports of missiles, rockets and bombs going off...for more than three hours....people said explosions were going on all over the base...with rocket shooting everywhere in all directions for more than three hours...

the first reports were that at least 14 American Soldiers were KILLED, and many injured....

then suddenly, there was NO MORE NEWS at all....there never was any US Military announcement of even the missile hitting OUR ammo depot....

IMO, there are many more DEAD than we hear about...just like Vietnam, where no one knew how many died until many years later, when the Wall was built...and even then, the military dissed OUR dead soldiers families by STILL failing to acknowledge all the deaths until families FOUGHT to get their children's names on the WALL...

3. News all day on Sunday, nauseating tributes to Raygun
Those who died in Iraq are ignored .
Our children in Iraq are meaningless to these people, and to the media whores.

4. 2 replies to this and 48 replies to JLo's wedding.
I know it's the weekend, but For Christ's Sake! Why is celebrity gossip allowed in LBN?

I wonder how many soliders in Iraq are going to vote for Stupidhead?

RIP.

7. What I don't understand is why people have such a fixation on this

creature that her getting married again would even matter. In fact, I wouldn't have know except for I saw it here.

You get three strikes and your're out in baseball, three felony charges and you can be put away for life. How many marriages is the person on now? Three? Four? Whatever, she should be forced by law to stay married to whoever she duped this time so that we don't have to hear about her anymore.

Then maybe the killing of our sons and daughters in places like Iraq and Afganistan will get the attention they deserve. There isn't any bigger piece of news today, or rather there shouldn't be, then the loss of life occurring there, American and Iraqi.

So please, no more JLo, no more Scott Petersen, no more Reagan (two days of it is enough), we need to concentrate on the important events that affect all of us.

14. I'm amazed too. I guess following JLo gives people "social capital"
They get to impress their friends with the nuances of the latest celebrity. Its kinda like following the players on a professional sports team.

The same goes for people who watch and vote on American Idol and then ignore the Presidential race.

Granted the voting on AI is probably a lot more accurate, and there are real choices but it still gets way more attention (and money) than it deserves.

But you are correct about how relevant this all this celebrity bruhallah is to peoples'everyday economic lives.

I can't stand where this country is going and -we are look outs on the titanic-why do they think these deaths are good?-can't they see the pain and anguish from our side and the Iraqis people=I was told that soldiers over there say is it getting better-the media is "librul" and is not reporting the "good things"-I just can't take it-it is so damn depressing-this report I believe is more accurate

13. Do you mind?
I'm trying to concentrate on all of the jingoism and flag waving taking place on the TV about Reagan's death. In the words of Mrs. Bush, I don't need to waste my beautiful mind on people dying from a former client of his.
