Cheney to make Albuquerque stop for fund-raiser (Tuesday)
(Albuquerque-AP)

Vice President Dick Cheney is planning a stop in Albuquerque Tuesday to help Republican Congresswoman Heather Wilson raise money.

Cheney will attend a noontime luncheon at an Albuquerque hotel.

A Wilson campaign spokeswoman says 200 people are expected to attend the event that costs $1,000 per plate. ---

2. Will Albuquerque bill Cheney or the GOP for local security?
Madison, WI threatened to bill them, and they canceled the event earlier this year.

4. I just as soon that the campaign pay for the protection.
But if it is justified for protection that is solely for Presidential duties then it should come out of the federal budget so that it is shared with all 270+ billion citizens.

Otherwise, the individual cities are being forced to support an expense that they have not budgeted for in their annual budget.

In addition, there should be a limit as to what they can do to "protect" the President. The protester corral would not be allowed especially when it is located blocks or miles from the route or event.

3. $1,000 per plate - much better than T-rations
Something is really wrong with this picture: opulence versus our troops suffering and going without food and water.
