Not All Iraqi Rebels are Terrorists Says Bush
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 09:02 AM by ze_dscherman
Iraqis fighting American troops are not all terrorists, President George Bush said in an interview today and he insisted he could understand their distaste for occupation.

Bush told Paris Match magazine that “no one would want to be in the place” of Iraqis under occupation.

“They are not all terrorists,” Bush said in the Oval Office. “The suicide bombers are, but other fighters aren’t. They can’t stand being occupied.”

“That’s why we are giving them back their sovereignty,” he added, a reference to US plans to hand over control of the country to an interim Iraqi government on June 30.

In the same interview he also declares that the former enemies Japan and Germany now are "among our best friends in this war". Germany supporting the Iraq war? How far off reality is bush* spinning?

5. “They are not all terrorists,”
“They are not all terrorists,” Bush said in the Oval Office. “The suicide bombers are, but other fighters aren’t. They can’t stand being occupied.”

When challenged on this statement, the president responded testily. "Of course they're terrorists! Find me one suicide bomber who did it because we killed his family or raped his wife or somethin' like that! If you find one, I wanna meet him."
/sarcasm off

28. Look, this is just Rove telling * how to sound nuanced...don't get hopeful
Rove has become aware of the charge that Bush can't think in concepts other than black and white and thus is a miserable leader...there have been recent turncoat zings from people Rove thought he had permanently cowed... so in response, Rove has given shit-for-brains something to say, so Tweety can announce: "See, Bush is a deep thinker, subtle, nuanced, brilliant leadership!"
So please. Bush is not getting sane. His meds are not working.

8. I think I figured out the Bush* spinning thing...
Bear with me while I geek out a bit - I think it's worth it.

First, a definition:
"Precession is a strange kind of motion that occurs in wheels and other rotating objects. You can feel its effects for yourself if you hold a spinning bicycle wheel by its axle. When you try to turn it, you will find that the wheel won't turn in the way you intend to. Instead, it will "precess", so that the axle actually turns at right angles to the direction you expect." - "The Way Things Work", by David Macaulay

I think the Bush* administration is spinning so hard and so fast anymore, that it has become impossible for them to react properly to anything. When logic would dictate that they change their course on something (Iraq, for instance) they end up "precessing", or turning at right angles from the course you would expect.

An example: Accused of human rights abuses in Iraq, the Bush* administration appoints John Negroponte - a man long associated with human rights abuses in South America - as the new Iraqi Ambassador.

9. Then why did YOU order 30,000 of these non-terrorists to be killed?
- And really, George...no one believes you're giving anything back to the Iraqis. There is no such thing as sovereignty when thousands of US troops remain to 'supervise'.

11. Terrorists?
It makes me sick the way Monkeyboy tosses around the term 'terrorist'. People fighting in their native land against an invading force are not 'terrorists', how could they be??

Have a look in the dictonary Georgie boy. Heres a good definition of Terrorism -

..unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

Sound familiar? Bushco aren't even the legitimate government of America and they used the tactics outlined above to invade and slaughter.

Ask yourselves who the real terrorists are.

12. Sovereignty. He used that word with Paris Match?
First of all why was he even being interviewed by the Paris Match? Did they come not bearing french fries?

He can't use the word 'sovereignty' in this country because his followers won't understand.

Jokes and ire against France was just for Rove's purposes...France was in with us on the overthrow of Aristede. And they're getting in on the contracts now. But the blinded are still not eating french fries and remain disgusted with all things French.

He tries to compare D-Day with Iraq war. Hence, the stance about Germany and Japan that have become democratic friends.

Also, the chimp is trying to cover lost ground, making nice with Old Europe. Needs some positive headlines like a UN resolution, money as well, troops ...

15. Ah, but you mistake Bush's confused presupposition
Since the Iraq War IS part of the so-called "War on Terror," (I can't fight this feeling...:eyes:) and since Old Europe IS aiding with the so-called "War on Terror" (both the Germans and the French have troops on the ground in Afghanistan, for instance), Germany is a great friend in "this" war. It all depends on what the meaning of "this" is, apparently. That fucking sickening liar. ;-)

16. Fisk has this to say about THE WAR ON TERROR
McNaught: Have you noticed the interesting use of language in this war, and the wider war on terror?

Fisk: Much much more serious than the fact that governments have adopted it, is that the press have adopted it, that the media have adopted it. When ever you turn on the television you see ‘War On Terror’ at the top. Newspaper headlines on the ‘War on Terror’. It is not a war on terror; it is a war on America’s enemies. If we want a war on terror we would have an international court, which is what the American’s pulled out of, to try people who use violence in this way. We are fighting America’s enemies, and they are fighting back. And they are going to bring us in on it to if we fight with America. We as journalists should have never used that phrase, because it will now become part of the historical narrative. It’s easy for governments to say ‘yes we are fighting the war on terror’. Bush said at one point that it might be unending. This is preposterous. They all make out like it’s the Second World War. Nassar was the Mussilini of Cairo, Saddam was the Hitler of Baghdad, and Blair is Churchill. This is ridiculous, it is not the Second World War. Governments and news agencies are trying to frighten people; it is not World War Three. We shouldn’t allow people to say that 9/11 changed the world, it has not.

18. Translation:
Some of the people Bush has been calling "terrorists" are slated to become important members of the puppet government ruling cabal. Off the top of my head, I would say some "Baathist dead-enders" are to be rehabilitated. He may also realize he has to play ball with Sadr.

20. I don't think too many people realize how important this admission is?
This means the Chimp is saying the people killing our soldiers are not all terrorists. Think about that for a moment. If those killing our soldiers are not terrorists but rather just average people who want us to leave, how do we tell the difference? Do the terrorists carry some kind of identification stating that they are terrorists or something? And if this the case just what the fuck are we doing over there then?

22. So doesn't this mean he supports the killing of our troops?
By freeper logic, if you could sympathize with the Iraqis who were fighting back against the U.S. occupation, you were supporting the enemy and therefore supporting the killing of our troops, which makes you a traitor, blah, blah, blah.

But now, the own president "understands" that the Iraqis don't want to be occupied. Does that mean he supports the killing of our troops? To me, it's what we have been saying all along.....if they all aren't terrorists and have every right to defend themselves, what the fuck are we doing there?

Logically, you can't have it both ways, which is exactly what Bush is trying to do. But then again, who says this Administration and its supporters act on logic.....

21. This is telling us something about his campaign:

The Bushistas intend to soften the edges and blur the lines. The opposition said, "The Iraqis can’t stand being occupied," so Bush says it, too. The objective is to confuse folks about administration policy: the policy itself doesn't change, but it gets plastic surgery so it LOOKS different.

26. excuse me, * ASSHOLE! Why are suicide bombers ipso facto "terr'ists"?
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 03:41 PM by homelandpunk
I think the suicide bombers are "regular Iraqis" too. Can someone explain that giving your life for your country is noble...not the dark, evil act he makes it out to be?? The current fad & fashion in this country to make suicide out to be "BAD" is a fucking joke. People like Bush love violent death, unless it is selfless.
Hey Chimpy, can you prove suicide bombers AREN'T regular Iraqi's, you inane jackass unelected terrorist?
You aren't giving them back sovereignty!!!
Does it not occur to this smear of slime, that a couple bullets before or after June 30 can and will fuck the "giving back sovereignty" plan? Sure it occurs to his death-loving brain.
Trace the thread of succession from the walking dead who are THEMSELVES "suiciders" (they won't be alive a year from now, not one of them) up to the White House and tell me
about "sovereignty". O god that is rich!
A few bullets, a bomb, a "regular Iraqi" unravels it all, anyway.
Bush knows this, which is why he use "moderate-speak" now, so he can get cover for the continued occupation AFTER, lo-o-o-o-o-ong after, June 30. "See how understanding I was...too bad these folk can't govern themselves".
Fuck you, terrorist criminal warmonger bunypants....all the posts about his being Bush "sane" for once, really misses it.
