Two Russian workers killed in Baghdad ambush

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Gunmen opened fire Wednesday on a convoy taking Russian technicians to work at a major Baghdad electric power station, killing two of them and wounding at least five, Iraqi and Russian officials said Wednesday.

The victims were employed by the same Russian company as two other Russian experts who were kidnapped south of Baghdad this month and later released. A third Russian was killed in that incident.

In Moscow, the executive director of the company Interenergoservis, Alexander Rybinsky, said the firm has decided on a full evacuation of all its personnel from Iraq.

3. I thought the Russians were told to leave weeks ago?

Didn't the Russian gov. request that all leave? Apparently it was voluntary.

This whole mess in Iraq reminds me of our country when we stole from the Native Americans and fought battles until we wiped them out. Like Iraq, mostly based on greed.
