UCSD student gets OK to air beheading video on campus today

A University of California San Diego sophomore has received approval by the school to show a video of the controversial beheading of American civilian Nicholas Berg this afternoon on campus.

Ariel Mor, a 20-year-old studying political science, says he views his event as "pro-American" and hopes it will increase support for American troops.

"This just shows what kind of enemy we're dealing with," Mor said. "We can't fight an enemy without the support of the American people."

Mor is planning to show the eight-minute video repeatedly on two 25-inch television sets in the middle of campus on Library Walk between noon and 3:30 p.m.

Unfortunately, they oppose showing kids that are blown up by American cluster bombs and land mines, Iraqis corpses that have been mutilated by US troops, or even photos of American coffins returning from Iraq.

They appear to have some sort of ulterior motive behind the carnage the enjoy showing and the carnage they choose to repress.

Why on earth would anyone want to see this? If this video is going to be shown, then in the interest of equal time, video of Iraqi civilians killed unnecessarily by our troops should be shown as well, so that students get a clearer picture of what the Iraqi people are "dealing" with. This kid doesn't have a clue.
