Hmm..why is this "news" again all of a sudden??

May 16 (Bloomberg) -- Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry's paternal grandfather, Frederick Kerry, converted to Roman Catholicism from Judaism several years before he settled in the U.S., the New York Times said.

Frederick Kerry was born Fritz Kohn in what is now the Czech Republic, the newspaper said, citing church birth ledgers that said he sought the change because a Jewish name could hurt his military career.

John Kerry, who is Catholic, didn't know about his grandfather's Jewish roots until a Boston Globe reporter told him last year that a Viennese genealogist had made the discovery during a search of church records from the Austro-Hungarian empire, the paper said.

Frederick Kerry moved to the U.S. in 1905 and settled in Chicago, the paper said. He later moved to Brookline, Massachusetts, the paper said. His third child, Richard, who married Rosemary Forbes, is the father of John Kerry, the paper said.

3. No, his Granddad
Not only did John Kerry's Granddad flip-flop on religion and on his own name before he shot himself in men's room of the Copley Plaza Hotel, but he clearly showed poor judgment on a number of occasions. Do we really want his grandson running America?

5. Perhaps BFEE sent time travelers to do a hit on Kerry's granddad
They were just a little too late to stop Kerry's dad from being conceived. However, given recent trends in torture, it looks like they may have altered the time line, so that the Nazis won the Second World War.

6. I don't think they want to start talking about respective grandfathers...
We already have the grandson of a man that loaned the money that helped build Auschwitz, the notorious death-camp, during WWII. Do you want him to continue running America?

7. Who cares?
Really. I think talking about Bush's grandfather is just as stupid as talking about Kerry's grandfather. There's more than enough wrong with the current Administration that we need to address before we worry about irrelevancies like genetics.

4. So?
As Lincoln said, "I'm not as much interested as to who my grandfather was as what his grandson will become."
