Labour would do better in next election without Blair

Were Blair to remain in charge of Labour at the next election, only 36 percent of respondents said they would back the party, while 40 percent said they would favor the main opposition Conservative party, the poll in the Mail on Sunday said.


However if Blair's Chancellor of the Exchequer -- and presumed eventual successor -- Gordon Brown, was leading the party, it would snatch 39 percent of the vote, equal to that of the Conservatives.


According to the poll, 41 more Labour MPs would lose their seats should Blair decide to fight for a third term in office rather than handing over to Brown. ....

1. I think Blair will be ousted

I always liked the man until he went along with Bush, going into Iraq. I'll be glad to see him gone. Just hope the American people will wise up and get out and vote in November and get rid of Bush

2. I'm an American, but if I were in England:

I would vote for the Liberal Democrats (Charles Kennedy) as long as Blair is at the helm. If Gordon Brown was in charge I would consider voting for Labour. Four more years of Bush and Blair will be disasterous for the world!
