Three war protesters are beaten
Associated Press

Three men protesting the war in Iraq were assaulted by passers-by, police said Wednesday.

The three were holding signs in a supermarket parking lot when a vehicle carrying two men approached them about 6 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

The two men in the vehicle jumped out and scuffled with the three war protesters, tearing up two signs and knocking one protester to the ground, police said. The attackers then fled in their vehicle.

The victims did not require medical attention, police said in a news release. Their names were not released.

Police are looking for the attackers. The case will eventually be transferred to the FBI because of possible civil rights violations, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.

7. Yeah, these fascists-types are scary,...we had a real scary experience,
,...at one of our protests. The guy (I hate to say it, but he was pale-skinned) was driving an old, rather broken truck and had a damn rifle in his hand as he screamed obscenities at us.

We have some really freaky people in this country who desperately need A LOT of help. Administrations like this "grow" this kind of radicalism.

13. both sides....
have their fascist types. I was attacked by people who were at least masquerading as so-called "progressives" for being pro-RKBA.

People need to understand that the right to protest is a RIGHT, and people shouldn't be attacked for voicing their opinions.

16. Yeah, but, even as a non-violent advocate,...
,...and a "slight" female,...I have to confess that, if there is a stronger guy protester in the vicinity,...I tend to gravitate.

What can I say,...I still have some sensible survival stuff going.

8. When protest really gets going concealed carry is the trick
Edited on Wed May-05-04 08:54 PM by saigon68
If they want to play games with dissent, we will show up with the proper numbers to take care of ourselves. Never protest with less than 75 people and at least 8-10 w/ concealed carry.

Let these disruptors Fuck with you THEN

23. Better check state and local laws first
Concealed carry at a public assembly may be a crime even with a license. I don't think it is a good idea.

31. I almost got arrested carrying a plastic baseball bat in a crowd
You can't legally carry baseball bats in crowds, even if it is only a Halloween celebration, and you're in the costume of a baseball player. The police won't allow it.

If you staple an anti-Bush sign to a real baseball bat, and go out to demonstrate in public, you may find yourself shot with a tazer, and when arrested, if you're in a "red" state, you could wind up forced to stand on a box, wearing some lady's underwear on your head, and with electrodes attached to your privates.

Had they been armed they could have put these thugs in their place. Until the Left gives up their squeamishness about guns they will continue to get their asses kicked.

15. In the protests in the Spring of 2003
one wacko right wing thug actually swerved his car towards a protester in front of U.S. Rep. Randy Duke Cunningham's office. Came darn close...Police stopped the nut cake. But did not arrest him. Why? I consider it endangerment.

27. At least in jail you are fed, clothed, sheltered AND get health care.
Hell, as an American citizen who has broken no laws, worked so very hard to improve myself and contribute in a positive way to my country,...I am unemployed and have NO health care.

Such a weird country I live in.

protest in front of Halliburton in North Dallas. I will not be surprised if we have an "ugly" incident.
