Group calls for investigation of Christine Gregoire's office

AUBURN -- A South King County community group that has battled with state Attorney General Christine Gregoire yesterday waded into the clatter surrounding her Democratic gubernatorial bid.

The group, originally formed to block sex-offender housing from their neighborhoods, called on politicians to investigate Gregoire's office -- alleging a pattern of misconduct, politically motivated cover-ups and dishonesty.

"We have now learned of additional misconduct, so we feel we must now step forward," said Wayde Staiger, president of The Concerned Citizens of Auburn and Federal Way.

Gregoire's spokesman, Fred Olson, described the move as "political and litigation mischief."

2. Well, of course, this "group" is calling for an investigation of a D.

This is going on across the country. Even here in Baltimore (90% Dem stronghold), a repuke group has already called for an investigation of the entire (Dem) city council for accepting sports tickets (which the members actually donated to poor kids) and parking spaces or some such other nonsense.

It makes for a great headline though, and repukes love to make and read headlines... they never bother, however, with the details of the story.
