2. nice tribute to Kerry...coming out of bush* territory....GOOD !
BRING IT ON....the backlash against bush* has arrived...bush* and cheney are dissing OUR Veterans, while they ran away from service...America has had enough....here it is bush*: blowback....

------------------------------------

John Kerry has built a campaign around his military service. President Bush is building a campaign seemingly intent on discrediting it.

What's at stake for both is street cred.

So let's review. Two words: Fact and fantasy.

Fact: Bush got into the Texas Air National Guard in 1968, probably with the help of his congressman father. This allowed him to avoid the draft and service in Vietnam.

Fantasy: Bush says he supported his government during that war. OK. What does that mean?

Consider this Bush quote, circa 1990s, resurrected recently in the Baltimore Sun. "I was not prepared to shoot my eardrum out with a shotgun in order to get a deferment. Nor was I willing to go to Canada. So I chose to better myself by learning how to fly airplanes," he said.

Fact: Bush was honorably discharged about eight months before completing his six-year commitment. It's unclear whether he showed up for duty during swaths of his commitment.

Fantasy: He fulfilled all the obligations required of his service.
