1. this is good news for DK
but can you be sure every single member of the party will actually vote for Kucinich? It is like saying that because the Steelworkers union endorsed Gephardt that every single member of that union will vote for Gep--not so.

But still it is good news and will be a great help to DK. Good for him.

3. Don't get too excited
If Kucinich loses the primary we'll be back with Nader.

7. Nope...Dennis will endorse the nominee.
Nader won't be able to control all the Greens once they commit to Dennis.

Never forget what a standup Democrat Dennis is, and one who, like Wellstone, truly believes in working WITHIN the political system via the Democratic party.

4. That's a good start toward rational thinking by them. Now if only...
Their NATIONAL COMMITTEE would do that, I'd feel a whole lot better about their thought processes. At least one state's organization of theirs understands the truth about next year--either you're with a Democrat AGIN' Dub...or you're FOR Dub! x(

B-)

5. The Greens had better be ready to endorse the Dem candidate...
within reason. I mean, if it's Leibowitz, which it won't be, I can't expect them to endorse him. If it's anyone else, they had better join the Anti-Bush Coalition.

8. Leave it to the Greens
to pick the weakest, least able to get elected Democrat in the group. and before anyone says anything...look in the polls and you'll see Kucinich is far behind even the closest Dem to him...

Endorse Dean then I'll think you're serious....or better yet...Endorse whoever wins the primary THEN you'll have my respect

10. Obviously the Green focus is on numbers.
Kucinich is the one who most closely represents their views, so they endorsed him.

Explain to me how this is a problem.

14. Born a Democrat
some of us, that truly were born Democrats by heritage, see Dennis as THE MOST DEMOCRATIC candidate. For me Dean is a poor subtitute!

19. Well said! Dennis is a progressive, Dean's a centrist. I'm only

surprised that some Greens are supporting a centrist like Dean.

18. Well, they might yet still...
After all, the primary was when? That's right, hasn't happened yet. It certainly seems possible that once the primary happens and a nominee determined (particularly if its Dean), they might switch their endorsement to the winner. Or, am I missing something?

BTW, I find it hard to believe that DK is far behind Sharpton or Braun. Didn't he come in second in the moveout primary, after Dean? Maybe the reason he's polling so low nationally is just a lack of exposure/name recognition. I believe if people really knew him and his platform, he would gain popularity quickly. Also, if the polling question were "Who would you personally most like to see BECOME President?" he would do very well. If the question is "Who do you want for the Dem nominee (i.e. who do you think could possibly beat bush)?" it would not be nearly as good, simply because most people (myself included) don't believe he can pull it off. Maybe the Greens made their choice based on who they'd most like to see as Prez, as opposed to who they want the Dem's to nominate. I don't know, I'm just happy for DK getting the endorsement from the greens, and I'm not going to split hairs based on them not endorsing someone who can actually win. They *should* be endorsing Kucinich, and I don't much care what anybody says to the contrary. We can agree to disagree.

13. Greens nor Kucinich had any visible presence at Phish IT festival
I would have thought this would have been prime recruiting grounds for votes. I've seen loads of Nader presence in the past at these things.

Who was the candidate represented at Phish IT? Howard Dean. Now thats interesting!!!
