Crossroads: Elizabeth Warren responsible for bank bailouts

snip: Now, the Karl Rove-linked organization is taking a different tack: In a new ad, which aired in Massachusetts starting Thursday, Crossroads GPS targets Warren for allegedly being beholden to Wall Street.

The 30-second spot, which was part of a $1.1 million dollar ad buy for four ads (concerning various candidates) that will be featured in Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana and Nebraska, features a brief clip of Warren pledging to "be a voice in the room on behalf of middle-class families."

"Really?" asks a narrator following the clip of Warren's remarks. "Congress had Warren oversee how your tax dollars were spent bailing out the same banks that helped cause the financial meltdown. Bailouts that helped pay big bonuses to bank executives while middle-class Americans lost out."

3. a Xroads ad against Tester in MT was pulled by a cable co. b/c it was false

Huffington Post: Ad By Crossroads, Karl Rove's Outfit, Yanked Off Air For Being False
-By Brian McAuliff

November 11, 2011- An ad by Karl Rove-backed Crossroads GPS was yanked from rotation on a Montana cable show because it made claims that the network deemed false.

Recently a number of ads by the well-funded conservative outfit have been declared misleading and false, but the spot targeting Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) is apparently the first pulled from the air. The Associated Press reported that other outlets are still running the ad.

In it, Tester is accused of supporting an Environmental Protection Agency rule -- a rule that was never in fact proposed -- to regulate farm dust. But the vote that the ad cites actually had nothing to do with dust or the EPA; it was a procedural vote on a measure aimed at cracking down on China for manipulating currency.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) had hoped to bring up the anti-EPA amendment -- which targeted regulation of soot, not farm dust -- but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) never even let it get to the floor. snip

:applause: would like to see more media cos. take this stand. The co. that refused to run the ad was Cablevision.

26. Now, now. Let's move forward. Look to the future.
Let's not dwell on the past. Let bye-gones be bygones. Let treason lie. Let it go. We have our orders - no republican is ever to be held accountable.

17. Indeed, Warren is being held up to a standard she won't be able to meet.
And then the things that she did because the political process is highly demanding of her, will be used against her as proof that she was everything but who she is.

22. I agree about expectations. However, holding a candidate to my
expectations is very different from holding a candidate to his or her own words.

The expectations for Warren are way beyond what they should be and what she is saying.

She is a woman of intelligence, integrity and good intentions. That is evident and that is all I expect of her. I disagee that she is anywhere near ready to run for President, though, and I have no idea if she is a liberal or not.

29. The thing is, human beings are not 100% capable of controlling their world.
Warren, for example, might make compromises in the future that her constituents would criticize her for, and that is simply not the way you should view her as a person. She's clearly someone who is not a hard liner, but someone who does make statements that sound really good. She's still very open to people, though.

I think she's very much at this point of time where Obama was when he was in this point in the political process.

14. Classic Rove Blame "the other side" for the problem his ....
.... side is supporting. George W Bush went AWOL and John Kerry was a hero in combat so what do you do?
Answer; Swift Boats for truth. Elizabeth Warren wants to work for the people and regulate the banks and Wall Street
so in Rove's mind you have to link Warren to the problems caused by the banks.
