Bush, Blair, Aznar trial sought

Beirut, , Apr. 23 (UPI) -- Arab intellectuals and politicians want to try U.S. President George Bush, Britain's Tony Blair and Spain's ex-Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar for war crimes.

The call was made at the end of a five-day Arab National Congress, which closed in Beirut Friday. More than 200 politicians and intellectuals representing the various Arab countries participated.

16. A president can issue all the pardons he wants.......

....but the pardons will only exonerate them under US law. The world court owes no allegience to US laws, so an american pardon will hold no legal sway anywhere in the world but here.

Therefore, any jurisdiction in the world (or any country that's been harmed by these bushevicks) can issue charges. If this happens, I would bet most countries in the world would not fight extradition, they'd just hand them over with a smile and a raised finger to the bushies.

And I can't think of a bunch more deserving of life behind bars. Gee, doesn't the thought of Captain codpiece playing wife to some big sweaty arab criminal give you a warm feeling in the heart?

18. Of course, a presidential pardon only counts in the U.S.
It wouldn't affect international charges. And I'm sure that Dubya might want to travel outside of the U.S. sometime in the future.

7. They are certainly sending a very clear message,...
,...that they disapprove of wars in violation of international law. Also makes pretty damned obvious that they have no intention of cooperating with the PNACers.

But I can't see how Blair can avoid going into exile if he is forced out of power.
