Cain says he'll never answer harassment questions
Source: Associated Press

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Republican presidential contender Herman Cain grew agitated with reporters after a debate with Newt Gingrich and is vowing to never answer questions about allegations of sexual harassment a decade ago.

Speaking after a one-on-one debate with rival Gingrich on Saturday, Cain cut off reporters who asked about allegations of sexual harassment and suggested journalists who wanted answers were behaving unethically.

When one reporter tried to ask a question about the allegations, Cain cut him off. When another asked him if he planned to never address the allegations, he replied "you got it."

Cain says his staff does not want him to respond to the stories and "we are getting back on message, end of story."

1. Poor Herm....any one tell him that the way this system works is-
we ask the questions and he provides the answers? He may wish that questions on his sexual harassment pay-offs will go away, but he doesn't get to make them go away without answers.

7. The more he'll refuse to answer, the more questions will be asked!

Nope. He sure doesn't know the way this system works (nor does his 'campaign').

I guess he will also refuse to answer the (upcoming) questions about the illegal campaign contributions next... :+

If anyone was still sane in his corner, the advice should be: call it quit now. It's over.

Herman Cain, asked about harassment charges: ‘Don’t even go there’

p.s. CNN showed a video of Cain back stage after the debate hollering at the reporters. I've looked on the CNN website and they haven't upload the vid yet.

Since he won't talk, maybe someone else will. Then he will be begging to answer questions.

6. Well if that's the case, the press should ignore him. No more questions. Period.
As far as the media is concerned, Cain does not exist.

We will never stop asking Cain about his wandering penis and possible sperm escape.

Edited on Sat Nov-05-11 10:28 PM by socialindependocrat
Yesterday I saw Cain say, he was proud of his relationship with the Koch brothers

and then said, he was a brother of a different mother.

All I could think of was, what he would say during some
foreign negotiations if he were ever elected president.

Let Henry be Henry and go back to the Pizza business!!!

11. Does it really matter if he answers questions or not?

It's not like he stood a chance of getting the GOP nomination.

Nixon's southern strategy is still very much in effect under the guidance of Karl Rove.

13. He is right
Reporters should ask him questions about his plans as president, not about this nonsense.

If more people understood how ruinous his economic plans were, all for the better.

Reporters do not seem to care about anything other than the salacious nonsense.

19. Poppy Bush did the same thing when questioned about an affair.
"I'm not going to take any sleazy questions from CNN," was his response--and NO ONE asked him about it again.

It's good to be a Republican politician when Republicans control all media.

26. One of the many reasons a CEO does not make a good President
is this: As CEO, he tells everyone what to do and they usually do it or get fired. This trait does not translate well to an inquiring press corps.

Does he really think the questions will just stop because he says so? The press can stop asking him questions about the things he wants to talk about. Guess he didn't think of that angle.

Republicans get away with everything short of felonies. Larry Craig didn't resign immediately but rather retired after his term ended. David Vitter is still in the Senate.
