Occupy Atlanta occupies MLK historic site
Source: WXIA-TV

ATLANTA -- After being kicked out of Woodruff Park just days ago, Occupy Atlanta settled near the MLK historic site Thursday night.

Protestors initially tried to occupy a football field near Irwin and Jackson streets, near Ebenezer Baptist Church on Thursday because they thought the jurisdiction of the field was federal property. A parks commissioner confirmed it was city property, and protestors were ordered to leave.

With the sound of police helicopters overhead, Occupy Atlanta members headed to the Martin Luther King, Jr. historic site, which is federal property.

1. Where does the city get the money to maintain that city propertly?
Taxes maybe? So, therefore, the people have just as much right to occupy a city property as a federal one.
