Floodwaters are creeping further into the Thai capital, Bangkok, with residents of six more districts told to move to higher ground.

Roads near the Don Muang domestic airport were flooded and the huge Chatuchak market in the north of the city was at risk.

Two more industrial estates were also threatened and a prison of 2,000 inmates was reportedly being evacuated.

Thailand is grappling with its worst floods in five decades.

Thailand floods: Crisis 'to last four to six weeks'

Thailand's worst flooding in decades is set to last another four to six weeks, the country's prime minister has said.

Yingluck Shinawatra warned people in Bangkok to be prepared for flooding there, describing the situation as "extremely serious".

Three months of heavy monsoon rain have left swathes of the country flooded and led to the deaths of some 350 people.

2. Bangkok vulnerable to floods, Thai PM Yingluck warns
All parts of Bangkok are now vulnerable to flooding, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has warned.

In a televised address, she warned that parts of the capital could be inundated by up to 1.5m (5ft) of water.

Hundreds of people who had been evacuated to the city's second airport, Don Muang, are now being moved again after flood waters reached the runway.

More than 360 people have been killed and 100,000 displaced by the country's worst flooding in more than 50 years.
