AP Poll: Terror Attack Fears Remain High
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=519&ncid=716&e=7&u=/ap/20040422/ap_on_re_us/terrorism_ap_poll

<snip>
Half of those surveyed in the AP-Ipsos poll said they have concerns that terrorists may be winning, and a fifth of those polled felt strongly that is the case.
"Terrorists are winning the war for the hearts and minds of the people in the Mideast," said Christine Wyatt, a 52-year-old church deacon in Clarkston, Mich.

More than 30 months after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, two-thirds of Americans acknowledge some concern that terrorists may be recruiting faster than the United States can keep up, according to the poll, conducted for AP by Ipsos-Public Affairs.

A third of those polled feel strongly this is the case; another third say they have at least some worries.

"I think we're twitching on the edge of Armageddon; a lot of people I work with feel the same way," said Michael Miller, a 49-year-old software tester from Las Cruces, N.M.

1. A lesson from business
We continue to fight the symptoms of terrorism without attempting to isolate and eliminate its root cause. In fact, to insinuate that the root cause may have anything to do with the US or its policies is still considered unpatriotic.

2. "we have nothing to run on but fear itself"
with our so-called leaders fanning the flame of fear, of course we're worried.

3. Armageddon..........
isn't that the goal of the fundies anyway? The rapture, then end times, that's what they're hoping for isn't it? What better way to hasten this supposed "second coming" than to keep the ME in constant turmoil and to give the terrorists more fodder than they can use to hate us even more (if that's possible).

4. They are not "recruiting" faster than we can keep up, it is more
like we are making more of them with our idiotic policies. they don't have to recruit, we are doing a fine job of pushing the people towards no other option.

6. Excuse me
BUt WHAT IN THE F*CK are these people basing their decisions on?

Half of those surveyed in the AP-Ipsos poll said they have concerns that terrorists may be winning, and a fifth of those polled felt strongly that is the case.

****WINNING WHAT? HOW? A bunch of Iraq "minutemen" are shooting the shit out of the best equipped military in the world a HALF A WORLD AWAY in a country that was broken in the first place.. and that's terrorists "winning"?

"Terrorists are winning the war for the hearts and minds of the people in the Mideast," said Christine Wyatt, a 52-year-old church deacon in Clarkston, Mich.

***Yeah, this guy is hot wired right into god, just like Chimpy.. The People of IRAQ are fighting for their country and THEIR religion -- of COURSE they have the hearts and minds..

More than 30 months after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, two-thirds of Americans acknowledge some concern that terrorists may be recruiting faster than the United States can keep up, according to the poll, conducted for AP by Ipsos-Public Affairs.

***Once again, HOW does any average person KNOW this? Pure hyperbole and propaganda from the media.. keep the "sky is falling" act going.. it's being built up by the media to the frenzy we will have RIGHT BEFORE Bush Pre-emptively excuses himself for the attack that they claim is coming before the election.. that will be canceled..

the game is such -- our own CIA/FBI has attacked and killed people in Spain so that the event can be used in this country to start the concept bubbling in the media that CONGRESS (and gee, the Prez too) can CHANGE the date of the election..

now if they STOP the election (remember, it worked before) then they can KEEP PUTTING IT OFF, as each time we start to plan for it, some pesky attack is predicted..

rinse, lather, repeat..

You've seen the end of Democracy and NO ONE will do a thing about it, but complain a bit, until they are called an "enemy combatant" by Bush for being UNPATRIOTIC..

this is where America USed to be..
