Email: Walker Mulled State Worker Pay Cuts
Source: WISN News

MADISON, Wis. -- Gov. Scott Walker considered cutting the pay of all public workers at the same time he was crafting his budget proposal that forced them to contribute more for their pension and health care benefits, an email obtained by The Associated Press under the state's open records law showed.

The email, sent Dec. 8 by policy director Ryan Murray, also asked the budget director how much could be saved through the maximum allowable eligibility and benefit cuts to Medicaid.

Ultimately, Walker didn't call for a pay cut as part of his budget that required public workers to pay 12.4 percent of their health care benefits and 5.8 percent of their pensions. In fact, when rolling out his plan, Walker attempted to sell it by noting that he wasn't cutting salaries, imposing any furlough days, or calling for layoffs.

1. He's due for a pay cut...
...when he's recalled, assuming he's not jailed first.

3. Essentially, some estimate that it would take 540,208 signatures in 60 days starting on January 3, 2
We have essentially 2 months to get the sigs to recall Walker and that is a mammoth job!!
I hope he gets jailed or has to resign somehow first tho the lieutenant gov would then take over! :puke:

17. All politicians are due for such a cut imo
they should not be allowed to vote to increase their own pay and or benefits and instead they shouldnt get anymore than what the average worker in the country earns in pay and benefits.
Maybe then they would work to make things better for the majority of us rather than themselves and the wealthy.

18. Let's hope that JB Van Holllen approves that the Lt. Governor gets to be recalled with him....
But from what I have been reading JB was asked to help in Walker investigation and refused...

“Gov. Walker made the insulting claim he doesn’t know anything about this and Attorney General Van Hollen refused to investigate,” said Ross. “This attempted whitewash can only be seen as the most serious threat to the integrity of the Offices of the Governor and the Attorney General that we have seen in our lifetime.”http://www.onewisconsinnow.org/press/van-hollen-refused-to-investigate-walkers-cronygate.html
